It was a beautiful stormy day, and just happened to be someone’s birthday. The bday girl and I drove to the coast by way of Santa Cruz and then up Highway 1. We pulled off on the side of Highway 1 and braved our way through a winter storm; across train tracks and a brussels sprout field to the edge of the pacific. I had a secret plan, my Great Grandmother’s ring in my pocket …and Yeon-Joo had no idea what was about to happen 🙂
